Calling All Ryno Mushing Fans
/Crackling static…phst…crackling static…click click click—— Um hello? Is this thing on? Hi Ryno Kennel fans. Ryne here. It’s been awhile. Thanks for your patience as I took a couple years to sort out life and what’s next for us. And surprise- I still have no idea. I have lots of pipe dreams and have been planting little seeds of adventure into my future, but as to which ones actually take root and flourish is yet to be seen.
The dogs, deer, Derek, and I have enjoyed the recent changes. Our tour business, Chena Outdoor Collective, has created a stable base in our lives with great coworkers (human, canine, and ungulate). We’ve recently acquired an adjacent property that contains the local gravel pit, so say hello to your neighborhood gravel guy- Derek. Derek has also secured a new trapline that has been quenching his thirst for remoteness and adventure.
As our reindeer herd grows with two new little calves, the dog team will be downsizing as eight athletes leave to join our good friends and Ryno Kennel past handlers- Sam and Tucker. Mozzie, Cheddar, Beesly, Tuna, Foxfire, Firefly, Spitfire, and Etta will soon be joining Lost Sourdough Kennel (https://lostsourdoughoutfitters.com/) To get your regular dose of dog mushing blogs, be sure to follow them on their website and social media accounts. They also have sponsorship opportunities and lots of fun adventures on the horizon, so check them out!
The remaining pups- Cartel, Supai, Lefty, Sherlock, Bull, Dracula, Wingman, Muenster, Thresher, Dune- and I will continue adventuring, though it’ll look different. More skijoring. More small team trips. I’ll be sure to fill everyone in when the next big adventure takes shape. I’ll try to post at least occasionally again, though I can’t make any promises. It’s been really fun flying under the radar. Who knows what direction we’ll go or what’s next. Then, like a Jill in a Box, we’ll pop up where you least expect us. Thanks for following along on the journey.
